Types of Trauma Conditions Covered
Insurers will predominantly cover you for medical conditions across five categories: Cancer, Heart and Arteries, Brain and Nerves, Loss of Function and other health events including major burns and events requiring time spent in ICU.
Getting the Right Coverage
The amount of trauma insurance you need would depend on the individual circumstances and other covers you may have. Most insurers include up to $50,000 of complimentary cover for your children provided you have this as a minimum amount insured.
Trauma Reinstatement
This option allows you to reinstate your trauma cover without having to provide any additional health evidence 12 months after receiving payment. The reinstated amount will only be paid for conditions unrelated to your original claims.
